The Cure Sickle Cell Initiative is a collaborative, patient-focused research effort designed to identify safe and effective ways to treat sickle cell disease at the genetic level.

Our work builds on the legacy of research that has greatly improved care for individuals who have sickle cell disease. People living with sickle cell disease are working alongside researchers to not only help set the direction of our research, but also help us find ways to better educate and recruit patients to participate in clinical trials. We cannot seize scientific opportunities and advance cures without the full support and engagement of the patient and advocacy community.
